Our History

bside3

In April of 2009 a Frog 4 Life free clinic was organized in honor of Josh Holm who died at age 11 from a rare form of liver cancer less than a year earlier. B-Side Community was formed the day after the clinic as an effort to create relationships with and offer a sustaining helping hand to the nearly one hundred people who attended. Since that first service and meal B-Side has grown into an organization that unites people from all backgrounds for the common cause of encouraging and supporting each other.

our name

Back in the days when music was recorded on album's, the A side of the record held the popular song that everyone knew and loved. The opposite side of the record was called the B side. On the B side was a song that was more new and not well known. The artist hoped that if a listener liked the A side they would also like the B side. B-Side represents hope and potential.  All of us have hope and all of us have a purpose. When we live life together in community that hope and purpose can be fully realized.
